Actually, law of attraction is working. I know it sometimes seems like law of attraction works some of the time but not all of the time- however, the universal law (like all universal laws) actually works all of the time. So, it is working for you – let’s look at what isn’t working out:
In today’s video I’m joined by Oberon, as always, and by his friend Ole. Ole has a girlfriend who is in a committed relationship but she and her partner come from different cultural and religious backgrounds. It has created a sticky or uncomfortable situation because she isn’t accepted in his family; it keeps him from being more accepting of her so that she’s like a second-class citizen. This looks like vacations that she doesn’t get to choose in which they go to see his family; he makes a lot of choices, like financial ones, and her opinion doesn’t carry as much weight. Ole’s friend is a nice, generous person who would go out of her way to help others. So, we can write off justifications for the lack of acceptance in his family and there’s no good reason not to make choices in which they both have equal say.
The same could be true in other circumstances – you might be trying to get a raise at work, working extra hours, doing a great job but feeling like law of attraction is bringing you the payoff: the promotion or the love (in the relationship).
Under circumstances like these you may feel that law of attraction isn’t working for you-
Ole says that the problem is, although you have right actions, you aren’t putting yourself first. The law of self comes before the law of attraction. It says that you must honor yourself (not your ego/put yourself above others, nor should you put yourself beneath others). You must treat yourself with love and self-appreciation; you must honor your dreams and your needs. The law of attraction then follows, reflecting your energy back to you and it will reflect your not putting yourself first or doing so; it will reflect you not loving yourself or doing so and so on.
Ask yourself, am I putting myself first? Law of attraction will follow suit and put your or others first, as you and your energy do.
For example, Ole’s friend needs to be loved and accepted for who she is because her race or religion aren’t really who she is. She is what’s in her heart and soul; she’s her dreams and her love, her passion and her gifts.
Ole’s friend has allowed her partner to put his beliefs or religion first, his opinion of how money should be spent.
Ole’s friend needs to decide that she needs to be loved for who she is so that law of attraction will reflect this by changing the way she is experiencing life.
Often people don’t recognize that they also don’t honor themselves and honor the law of self with themselves. So, instead of differing to another person, you may be putting other things first, like your limiting beliefs. If you believe that you don’t have what it takes to be or do what you want, then you are putting a belief first. People often fool themselves by thinking that they are putting themselves first but because they aren’t connecting with their dreams, their needs and who they authentically are, they mistakenly put other ideas or things first.
Be you, authentically. Honor you and you will find that as you abide by the law of self, you’ll feel that the law of attraction is working and you’ll see your love changing, you’ll see yourself getting the promotion without efforting and just by being you!
Here’s to your effortless attraction!
