In this video I want you to learn about the 4 keys to living large in my book, Be You, Be Authentic, Be Unlimited. Relative to your entrepreneurial business, these keys are meant to help you change things so that your business is truly your expression, has you helping people and has you earning money doing what you love.
If you are familiar with the law of attraction or the golden rule then you probably have a sense that the energy you put out in life is the energy that comes back to you. This is important with your business to make it work since being an entrepreneur involves so much more, like the additional stress of trying to attract clients, pay your employees and so on.
In this way, entrepreneurs live large because they are playing at the level of their expression, leading and creating something.
When you use the four keys you will be using the right energy in your business to maximize your business expression and success.
Key 1 is to know you. You have to know what you love doing, what you are passionate about, what you are good at; you need to know what you aren’t good at and what you should get others to help you with in your business. Once you know what you are good at, you can combine your efforts by hiring out the other jobs or tasks so that you are playing to your strength and that of others.
Key 2 is to allow. You have to allow things that you can’t change to be the way they are; you have to allow yourself to be the way you are. In business, you will find many relevant variables, like the amount of demand for your offering, the resources you need for your offering or the type of clients your offering brings forward. You can’t change these things, so you are better off learning that making things happen doesn’t work most of the time and it often exhausts you. On the other hand, allowing life, people and even you to be the way you are and allowing life to work with you can put you in a stronger position because at that point you’re working with the flow instead of working against it.
Authentic entrepreneurs come from a very different energy when they are coming from their passion and their allowing versus efforting and trying to make things happen, a energy of pushing and forcing things.
Key 3 is about owning: you have to take responsibility for who you are, for your strengths and weaknesses, your gifts and the things that don’t work out in your business. When you own all of who you are and your experience, you might find that life is helping you tailor your offering. When you allow life to be the way it is, you’ll find that life is truly working to help you be more of who you are and it is also helping you find your way to your own success (and joy).
Key 4 is expression. When there is something you love, you can’t help but express yourself – when you look at the things that grab your attention, these are the ones that are meaningful to you. Entrepreneurs are all about expressing what they are all about and expressing what is meaningful (or what they are passionate) about.
Then they are all about helping others with those things that are meaningful. Our expression comes back in the appreciation from a grateful client or customer, it comes back in the form of being paid, a reputation – and the wonderful experience of feeling great about ourselves and what we do. The wonderful, rewarding experience of doing what we love (and being paid for it!)
Expression is like icing on a cake: it is what others see after all the other keys are in place.
Be authentic in your entrepreneurial expression. When you don’t know who you truly are and you express something you think you are (but aren’t really) then law of attraction will use that (inauthentic) energy in attracting your next experience, and that may bring experiences you don’t prefer. So, find your passion, and be sure that you are expressing this.
