Grammar Used To Be Considered Magic

Maybe Journals Are Magic Channels?

It used to be that people with a ‘silver tongue’ were dangerous! Like witches and warlocks, you had to be careful, lest they enchant you with those silver words and force you to do things you normally wouldn’t do!

Such drama!

Yes, someone with a silver pen, so to speak, can paint pictures with just words. Their gift is the ability to navigate thoughts and channel them into appealing and enchanting words and sentences, and you can do something similar.

Journaling can be magical, if writing speaks to you; if it does not, there are unlimited ways to reach Nirvana.

If Journaling Is Your Thing

Frankly, journaling is my thing and I’ve taught some of my advanced meditation students to take it a step further, but let me back up for a minute. This post is inspired by a link my husband sent me entitled “How To Become More Self Aware in 20 Minutes.” The idea being that journaling on a daily basis will put you more in touch with yourself, which I agree with — if that is your intent and you are consistent about journaling. Here’s a highlight:

You’ll Actually Live In The Moment More

Journaling does this incredible fucking thing in that it helps you start to understand how you actually feel about friends, family, and co-workers after doing it for a few weeks.

You THINK you know how you feel about these people, but let me assure you that you have no freaking clue.

Letting thoughts run through our mind can be a visceral experience. We may think back to an old memory, or an old lover, or we may think about something that hasn’t happened at all and find ourselves in a deep emotional rut because of it.

I call it zoning the F out.

Happens to me all the time.

Letting your thoughts run through your mind is like sifting for gold in a river with your bare hands..

Something incredibly valuable may have been in your hands/possession at some point, but you probably never knew it because you don’t have that necessary tools to capture it. And like that it’s halfway down the river never to be seen again.

Journaling puts these visceral thoughts on paper so they don’t get away.

I’m sure you can remember a time where you had a conversation with someone and they interrupt you and then you can’t remember the REALLY IMPORTANT thing you were about to say to them.

Then it bugs you for five minutes and because your brain is old now it’s lost forever, never to be seen again.

Same thing happens to our thoughts.

Turns out we have numerous realizations/straight-up discoveries about our friends/family that enter and leave our mind in a hurry.

When we write we focus on the details. We write about the little idiosyncrasies of an interaction with someone. And most times when journaling we write while the interaction is still FRESH in our minds.

This strengthens our observation muscle.

Intent Is Power

Whether you journal or meditate, your intent is the key to the door to knowing youself; spending time connecting with you makes all the difference in the world. I like what Tom says though. He’s right, we get busy doing things and we rarely stop to see what we think of them or how we feel about them.

I love journaling, so I know what he is talking about. It can open doors behind which lay magical worlds. I’ve been there and turned them into novels. Not only can you get to know yourself and enlighten yourself about what you think and feel, about what you truly desire in life, but you can also find magic within.

From Pen To Wand

Truth is, anything you spend time focused on will turn to magic. Musicians that practice all day and night create music that takes wins the world over; people who practice and know their craft delight and entice others to do the same.

You have to find your path.

Now, if you are like me and one of my advanced students, one thing you’ll love is journaling to change your past.

Time doesn’t exist; when you tap into worlds, whether you are journaling or using a different technique like meditating, you will find that you can also change the past, since time doesn’t exits. I have one student who is a master at this– she constantly journals and changes her experience.

But don’t believe me — watch my vid and try journaling for yourself. Try it for a year, ever day or meditate every day. Find the yellow brick road to Oz that is for you and then walk on it every day.

Otherwise, join one of our retreats where we teach participants to tap into energy: they can change their past experience, but there is so much more magic awaiting you…
